Kathy Peterson
Founder and President of Koi

When Kathy Peterson first began designing scrubs, she noticed that many manufacturers looked at design as an afterthought. Scrubs were generic commodities, more about function than fashion.

As a former designer for companies ranging from Guess? to Carole Little, Kathy believed that women would welcome a more fashionable approach to scrubs. She followed her instincts and her contemporary designs helped make Barco Uniforms the talk of the industry.

Now, after several successful years as Director of Design at Barco, where she created Metroscrubs® and re-designed Workforce® in 2006, Kathy has ventured out on her own.

As the very hands-on Founder and President of Koi, Kathy is continuing her fashion-forward approach to scrub design.
