Founded in October 2006 by apparel design veteran Kathy Peterson, koi launched its first collection of scrubs for women in early 2007, selling rapidly and quickly earning a loyal following. Due to the remarkable success of the brand's women's lines, koi introduced its first men's collection in 2009. In spring of 2011, following a move to a new office and warehouse distribution center in Santa Monica, koi further expanded its offerings with a licensing partnership with Marc Ecko Enterprises, launching the Ecko UNLTD. and Ecko Red designer scrubs collections. |

koi apparel is designed by Kathy Peterson, together with the brand's team of textile designers. Since koi's inception, its exponential growth and success has led the brand to be featured in more than 1,000 retailers worldwide, shipping directly from its Santa Monica warehouse. |
